What To Pack???

The Cuzco days can be very warm and sunny, however, when the sun sets the temperatures also drop dramatically in this high altitude. So bringing clothes that can be worn in layers and that are comfortable is recommended, and having a warm coat, sweater, or sweat shirt for the evenings.

We will be carrying and walking a little with our bags when we travel by train to Aguas Calientes, so I suggest packing lightly and only bringing what you feel comfortable carrying. Leaving room for gifts you might buy in your bag or bringing another empty bag for the return flight home is a good idea too.

We will be doing a lot of hiking and walking around. Having a comfortable pair of walking shoes will be important. A small back pack for day excursions, and in between meal snacks like luna bars or trail mix are also good to pack.

The sun at a 11,000 feet and upward is very strong. Sun screen and a hat are recommended.

There is an opportunity to visit a hot springs in Aguas Calientes, so you might want to pack a bathing suit. A travel towel can come in handy too.

A small, traveling alarm clock is nice to have, especially on mornings we’ll be rising early.

A small first aid kit can come in handy when traveling for you and others.

The voltage in Peru is 220v and ours in the States is 110v, so buy a convertor if you are bringing items that use electricity.

Let me know if you have any specific questions about packing or what to bring.
